What Is Present Tense?
- Present Tense उस क्रिया को दर्शाता है जो अभी हो रही है, हमेशा होती है, या नियमित रूप से होती है।
Types of present tense | Present Tense के चार प्रकार
- Present Indefinite / Simple Present
- Present Continuous
- Present Perfect
- Present Perfect Continuous
1) PRESENT INDEFINITE TENSE (Simple Present)
Use: Habit, routine, universal facts, general truth
Helping Verbs: do/does
Structure:
- Affirmative: Subject + V1 (+ s/es) + Object
- Negative: Subject + do/does not + V1 + Object
- Interrogative: Do/Does + Subject + V1 + Object?

- I drink milk every day.

2) PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE
Use: Action happening now / current period
Helping Verb: am/is/are + V1+ing
Structure:
- Affirmative: Subject + am/is/are + V1+ing
- Negative: Subject + am/is/are + not + V1+ing
- Interrogative: Am/Is/Are + Subject + V1+ing?
Examples:
- He is reading a book.
वह एक किताब पढ़ रहा है। - They are playing cricket.
वे क्रिकेट खेल रहे हैं।
3) PRESENT PERFECT TENSE
Use: Work completed recently / connection with present
Helping Verb: has/have + V3
Structure:
- Affirmative: Subject + has/have + V3
- Negative: Subject + has/have + not + V3
- Interrogative: Has/Have + Subject + V3?
Examples:
- I have finished my homework.

4) PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE
Use: Action started in past and still continuing
Helping Verb: has/have been + V1+ing
Structure:
- Affirmative: Subject + has/have been + V1+ing + since/for
- Negative: Subject + has/have not been + V1+ing
- Interrogative: Has/Have + Subject + been + V1+ing?
Examples:
- I have been studying for two hours.
मैं दो घंटे से पढ़ रहा हूँ। - She has been working here since 2020.
